Jessica Russo – Figure/Fitness Model

Posted by bloodworth on May 17, 2010

Julie and I just got back from our Eastern Caribbean cruise (on the Carnival Dream) and it was awesome! I didn’t realize just how out of shape I was until I returned and got to shoot a figure/fitness model named Jessica Russo. Jessica is simply amazing, as the photos below definitively prove. She has a competition in Tulsa on June 5th (next month) so she is in the middle of her transition to a “competition ready” state. That is important because even though the photos don’t show it, she is going to be extremely “ripped” in two more weeks as the competition grows near.

In addition to being completely awesome on the outside, Jess is likewise inside! She’s a total sweetheart and a graduate of Southern Methodist University here in Dallas. Currently, Jess lives “up North”… meaning North of I-635 in Dallas and is both a personal trainer / fitness coach / nutritional advisor. If you’re in need of a great trainer who will make you work, jump on over to Jess’ Facebook page and hit her up: Jessica Russo’s Facebook Page

I’ll be shooting Jess again in the next few weeks on an undisclosed beach nearby… so stay tuned and be sure to keep up with my flickr stream as well… hint: It’s over on right –>

Miss Raychelle Presley

Posted by parkimaging on April 14, 2010

This past weekend I had the amazing opportunity to work with a model named Raychelle Presley on a personal project that I wanted to do. Our makeup artist, Julissa Lopez of FlippinFaces.com was simply fantastic. She was fast, accurate, efficient, and produced superb results.

One of the results from that photo shoot was this photo… which I entered in the April Dallas PPA print competition… and won another first place. Thanks to all my Flickr and TPF friends for all the feedback on the images prior to submission!

Sweet!

Yesterday was the first monthly Dallas Professional Photographers’ Association meeting. Mrs. Teri Quance was there to school us on High School Seniors and everything related to them. She’s awesome and if you get the chance to hear her speak you definitely need to take advantage and do so.

Each month, the Dallas PPA has a “Print Competition” and one of my New Years’ resolutions was to enter the competition each month so I can work toward getting my “Master Photographer” certification. Surprisingly, I won first place in the Illustrative category with the following image… yeah me!

Babies are fun too!

Posted by parkimaging on December 12, 2009

As a male photographer, I have mostly left the younger children photography to the female photographers… because they’re just good at it and I haven’t been comfortable doing it. Women just have that motherly touch and it is very difficult for us guys to “get it”. It just doesn’t come naturally; at least to me it doesn’t.

This week, I had the distinct pleasure of photographing a beautiful 6-month-old baby girl named Addison. She is adorable and no more wording is necessary from me… enjoy!

I’ve been really bad in that I haven’t blogged in FOREVER but who isn’t busy these days!?

This morning I had the pleasure of shooting a friend of mine and his son in Plano. Here are a few of (Dad) Reid and Ethan. Enjoy!
