Yesterday was the first monthly Dallas Professional Photographers’ Association meeting. Mrs. Teri Quance was there to school us on High School Seniors and everything related to them. She’s awesome and if you get the chance to hear her speak you definitely need to take advantage and do so.
Each month, the Dallas PPA has a “Print Competition” and one of my New Years’ resolutions was to enter the competition each month so I can work toward getting my “Master Photographer” certification. Surprisingly, I won first place in the Illustrative category with the following image… yeah me!

I’ve been really bad in that I haven’t blogged in FOREVER but who isn’t busy these days!?
This morning I had the pleasure of shooting a friend of mine and his son in Plano. Here are a few of (Dad) Reid and Ethan. Enjoy!

Even though Mr. Peter Snell is a high-powered businessman and professional negotiator and regularly dons a suit and tie, he felt his “normal” headshots just did not reveal the true “him”. I was all prepared to get Peter into the studio and repeat what most business people want in a headshot… a good pose, crystal clear, attention to detail, great background, and so on. However, Peter had a different plan altogether. These few images are the result of that extremely pleasant photo shoot. Lesson Learned… Be Yourself!
